How it works
Each custom order is first discussed in great detail through email, and a $10.00 NON-REFUNDABLE mock up sketch is created. This sketch will encompass the details that were agreed upon via the email conversations, and allows the customer to confirm or tweak any minor details, such as size, silkscreen print, and color. Any major changes aside from the previously mentioned will be an ADDITIONAL $5.00, as this requires more projected project time and material.
Once your design is finalized, the assembly process begins. As all these designs are unique and handmade, please allow 2-3 months processing time for singular custom pieces, and 6-9 months for larger and bulk item orders. This allows us to ensure that your order is fulfilled to the highest possible standards, and the quality is immaculate.
Materials
There are many materials used to create our products, and those same materials are available to you when you create your custom order.
At Sofie Design Co, many of our products are made with polymer clay, a lightweight and vegan material that is similar to vinyl when it is cured. This clay is our material of choice due to its lightness in weight, and durability. These factors allow our earrings to be endlessly comfortable. Our earrings and necklaces are all polymer clay based
We also use 18k gold plated stainless steel jewelry findings to ensure that our products are hypoallergenic and non-irritating to the skin. This allows for longer wear time, and a higher product satisfaction.
Many of our jewelry items also include gold plated brass charms as well. If you desire your custom pieces to also feature brass charms, it is an additional $5.00 per item (necklace OR pair of earrings).
These fees are applied because custom orders are one of a kind and usually take longer to complete, thus allowing us to give you the best unique pieces possible.
Special Occasions
We are currently taking all custom designs, even those requested for special occasions, such as weddings, anniversaries, and parties. These events, abide by and require the same $10.00 NONREFUNDABLE sketch fee, as well as the $5.00 detail charge, per requested change. There is also a $15.00 base price per jewelry item (necklace OR pair of earrings) added onto the $10.00 sketch fee. Brass charms and 18k gold plated jewelry findings are an additional $5.00 per item (necklace OR pair of earrings) and will be added onto your final order cost.
Because these events are usually high volume, and require more order processing time, they are recommended to be made at least 6 months in advance to the desired date. This allows us to make and quality check each custom piece that is made, to ensure they are of the highest value.
